COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS & PROCEDURES

Are your staff trained appropriately in regard to Covid 19?
Our staff have a full understanding an implementation of new procedures to ensure the best safety practices in regard to Covid 19, food hygiene, social distancing and hygiene practice.

Have we provided the correct facilities for staff and delivery drivers?
Yes we have provided the correct facilities in regard to hand washing facilities  etc to enable staff and delivery drivers to practice good hygiene

Can COVID-19 be passed on through food?
There is no evidence to date of viruses that cause respiratory illnesses being transmitted via food or food packaging. Coronaviruses cannot multiply in food; they need an animal or human host to multiply. No reported cases of COVID-19 have been linked to contamination of food. The advice to food businesses and consumers is to maintain good hygiene practices and to wash your hands regularly. Thorough cooking will kill the virus.

What extra measures are we talking?
• Limiting the number of staff in our kitchen or food preparation area at any one time
• Spacing out workstations and food preparation areas,
• Limiting the number of people (staff, delivery drivers, ) who can come into your premises at any one time
• Using spacing measures (e.g. floor markers)
• Taking Staff Temperature before they enter the kitchen.

QUESTIONS ABOUT DELIVERY

When will my order be delivered?
You select your delivery date upon check out with your order. Once your order has been processed you will receive a notification via email or text message with details of what time your order will be delivered on your selected date. Delivery windows are 2 hours long but you will receive a live tracking link so you know exactly when your order will arrive. Please see our Delivery Page for more information

Do I need to be home to accept my delivery?
Yes you will need to be home to accept your delivery as we cannot leave food unattended. Your food needs to be refrigerated as soon as possible upon arrival.

Where do you deliver to? 
We offer delivering direct to you in Co.Wicklow between Arklow and Bray including areas such as Wicklow Town, Rathnew, Rathdrum, Roundwood, Newtownmountkennedy and Greystones. Please see our Delivery Page for a detailed map of our delivery areas.

What is the delivery charge?
Our delivery charge is a standard €5 local delivery fee for orders under the value of €24.95. For orders over the value of €24.95 delivery is FREE of charge. 

What days do you deliver?
We delivery Monday to Friday. We do not offer delivery on Saturday or Sunday.

I have made a mistake in my order, what do I do?
No problem we are here to help, please contact us via phone or email and we will do our very best to amend your order where possible.

Can I include a gift message with my delivery?
Yes. Simply leave your message in the personal gift message text box on the cart page and we will be happy to hand write your personal note and add it to your order. 

QUESTIONS ABOUT MEALS & COOKING

How do I cook my dish?
Heating instructions for each dish can be found on the bottom section of our removable packing label, these will provide cooking time guidance, temperature and whether you leave the lid on or off your meal. If you have any further questions please contact us at Info@foodvillage.ie or 01 525 3412

How long can I keep my food in the fridge?
Always keep your meals refrigerated at or below 4 degree Celsius. Use within 5 days from delivery.

Can I use the microwave to cook?
Yes our meals are suitable for microwave heating with the exception of our Beef Lasagne but we recommend oven cooking for the best quality experience. Note please remove from aluminum tray before microwaving.

Can I freeze any extra meals I wont eat?
We advise all meals are kept refrigerated only and heated and cooked fresh within the 5 day shelf life from delivery to ensure the best quality and taste.
